Technical visit Volterra to Bird Control Group
Today the team of Volterra visited the Bird Control Group offices in Delft to discuss the planning of new Laser Fence activities. The recent visit of BCG to the Scottish trial farm was explained and the positive preliminary results obtained. Volterra shared the impressions of the two recently visited Angel Camacho farms in Andalucia. Especially the planning of the installation on higher buildings (or on top of a large pole in the case of Cuarterola farm) was discussed. The advantage is that a larger area can be covered with one laser. A disadvantage is that it requires more time to cover a specific area, so the system might be less effective. The planning for next spring (especially the trials in Spain) were discussed as well.
